Friday feast with some good questions

An easy topic to post for a busy week (another one!)….

Appetizer
Name two things that made you smile this week:

My Answer: I will say this past week since I’m doing this on Tuesday night. I interviewed some high school students for a movie I’m a part of making for a nonprofit I’m working with. I asked them a variety of questions, some really difficult–for example, what do you think is one of the most pressing issues in the world today? “they’re so many!” was the answer I got from many and is also the answer I would’ve said!. I received amazing answers that made me so inspired and uplifted; their answers made me feel like our generation can actually do something and change the world for the better. After that evening I felt some great feelings of inspiration that I hadn’t felt in awhile. I haven’t felt them in awhile because I don’t think I’ve been around really inspiring people enough lately. Not to say that I haven’t seen or interacted with any people who are inspiring but I just haven’t felt that charging forward feeling in awhile; and it made me feel so happy feeling that way again.

Hmm another thing that made me happy. I think I’ll go with something way more shallow and an obviously overachieving-student-type of answer. I’ve done really well in all of my classes. This week is dead week and next week is finals so the quarter is quickly coming to an end; and I feel like I’ve learned a lot and it nicely shows in my grades! I appreciate when what I’m learning and how much I’m learning corresponds with the grades I receive from teachers.

My Answer: Don’t you hate it when people talk in class?! I hate it… and that’s why I glare at anyone who talks in class while the teacher’s talking! But I guess I have to admit that I have done some of the talking myself but I always have a good reason for talking (honest!).

When you can’t go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullabyland?

My Answer: Trying to JUST breathe and not think about all the gazillion things I have to do the next day.

Main Course
What is something about which you’ve always wondered but have not yet found a good answer?

My Answer: If Native Americans can vote in US elections. I have found an answer, but not a good one yet.

Dessert
What is your favorite pasta dish?

My Answer: Oh, I love pasta! Anything not too saucy, it’s really the pasta that’s the best part, not the sauce or the toppings.
